iCloud sharing

Make sure both people use different iCloud accounts with iCloud Drive enabled. After accepting an invitation, choose the correct local member identity, stay online, reopen the app and run manual sync.

Trip duration and settlement

A trip ledger lasts up to six calendar months. A free creator can complete five interim settlements; upgrading to Premium removes the limit. After expiry, new expenses and invitations are blocked, but settlement, export and final read-only archiving remain available.

Voice and screenshots

Check microphone, speech recognition, photos and notification permissions in iOS Settings. Screenshot recognition runs on-device. Review amount, category, date and holding before saving.

Purchases and subscriptions

Use Settings → SumMates Premium → Restore Purchases. Monthly users can open Apple's subscription management page to cancel renewal. A lifetime purchase is charged once. Apple manages prices, billing, refunds and payment methods.

Backups, deletion and accounts

SumMates has no developer-operated account to close. You can export JSON, delete entries or clear all local data under Data & Privacy. Shared copies are managed by the ledger owner through Apple iCloud sharing controls.
